Aero Engineering and Manufacturing is Hiring a Quality Manager Near Valencia, CA
SUMMARY
Manager of the quality function, typically requiring a bachelor’s degree in business or engineering and 10 years of experience, or equivalent. Manages the qualities of incoming materials or components as well as finished goods, work in process, or services provided. Oversee and direct surveillance in the shop and assembly areas. Individuals supervised, will typically use precision measuring equipment, which may include CMM, Vision Systems or other electronic instruments, to check the measurements, qualities of parts, assemblies or product. Establishes department(s) and company quality policies, processes and programs within overall direction set by senior management. Exercises judgment in dealing with unusual cases or those involving significant cost. Works closely with design, training and process development staff to improve the quality of products and services.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Supervision of the inspection staff and member of the site leadership team.
2. Establish/Develop/Maintain department and company quality procedural policy.
3. Implement specific responsibilities as identified in the quality management system.
4. Review acquired data for quality management system surveillance.
5. Reporting to top management regarding quality management system improvement objectives.
6. Coordinate & maintain the Company’s compliance and certification for all accreditations with Regulatory
agencies and US Government as required.
7. Contract review
8. Administer the QA management systems
9. Coaching employees
10. Establishes strategic plans
11. Assures customer needs are met related to quality controls
12. Oversee Supplier Programs and interaction/metrics and communication of quality.
13. Other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
1. Ability to work with diverse personalities from coworkers to suppliers to customers.
2. A thorough knowledge of inspection, quality and calibration systems from many disciplines.
3. Knowledge of Lockheed Quality requirements including appendices QX, QJ and related Corp Docs
4. Ability to work with office environment computer programs and ERP/MRP systems
5. Neatness and organizational skills are required for record keeping.
6. Ability to lead by example and work with a highly focused leadership team to build and deploy scalable
solutions supporting improved efficiency and growth.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing office environment. Work may require local travel. Work may require evening and weekend work. Sitting, standing and walking are required. This is an in-person position.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $90,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
